GUYS' RETREAT
NOV 21-24

Gentlemen - mark off the first weekend of Thanksgiving break on your calendar. We're headed down to the middle of Missouri for some adventurous time together.

We'll be spelunking (caving) and rock climbing - even if you have no experience whatsoever with this, you'll be comfortable with what we're doing. Total cost (including gas, rental gear, and food) is $95, so don't miss out. This is the cheapest caving/camping/climbing trip you'll ever take. Let's do a road trip!

ENCOUNTER [weekly]
Summer of 2008, we meet every Tuesday @ 9pm at the campus house (300 Normal Ave) for worship and Bible study together. Our desire each Tuesday night is to meet with Jesus in a way that leaves us changed. Please come. Beginning Fall of 2008, Encounter will begin meeting at 9pm Monday nights (new day) in Capen Auditorium. You can find more info here.

SMALL GROUPS [weekly]
Our hope for every student involved at Encounter is to be locked in to small group community. Family groups are a great way to do that. Check out our family groups page for more info on this semester and sign up on a Tuesday night, or you can email Jo at jomiller3@yahoo.com and ask how you can get connected.

TALK TIME [weekly]
Every Friday night at the campus house (300 Normal Ave) international students and American students at ISU meet to have a chance to talk & build relationships. If you're interested in being a part, come by at 6:30pm on any Friday night during the Fall and Spring semesters. This group is led by John and Linda Berger.

ENCOUNTER MINIMESTER - Oct 14th, 21st, 28th - 9-10:30pm
Our hope this year is to offer a couple of opportunities for students to learn skills that they may not have had a chance to develop yet. Our first will begin in October as we offer a three week course on how to study the Bible. We'll have more information about how to sign up as it gets closer.

COSTUME DANCE PARTY - Oct 31st - 9pm
Get a crazy costume and join us on the 31st for a dance party. Bring your rythm. Prepare to dance the night away.

VOLLEYBALL OUTREACH
Ray Auyeung is trying to start a volleyball outreach clinic for college students. He's looking for anyone who might be interested in meeting every Saturday to play. Interested? Email Ray at rauyeun@ilstu.edu.
