Encounter has been working since 1996 to begin campus
ministres abroad in the Philippines. To date, we have "planted"
and now oversee three ministries in the Philippines. Each of those
ministries works with local college students and is overseen by
full time Filipino staff workers (see our staff bios).
One of the
benefits of ministering to Filipino college students is that upon
graduation they leave the country to seek work, making campus
ministries there also double as missionary sending agencies.

BAGUIO CITY -
Pete and Paulette Cocco traveled to Baguio in 1996
and spent a year there helping a campus ministry
to come into existence. The ministry in Baguio
continues to be strong and is led by Arnold Pasion.
The ministry there serves four different
Universities. Arnold serves both as campus minister
in Baguio and as director over our other Filipino staff.

DAGUPAN CITY -
In the summer of 2006, a team of students joined
the efforts of Ronald Vegiga to begin a new ministry
at the University of Luzon. Ronald continues to provide
solid leadership to the ministry in Dagupan.

LA TRINIDAD -
In the summer of 2008, our third ministry plant took place
in La Trinidad at Benguet State University. Crisanto
Salvador, a former student of Arnold's ministry in Baguio
City took the reigns as our full time staffer at BSU.
