OBJECTIVE:
We will be partnering with Relevant Ministry to aid their mission of physically and spiritually rebuilding the Gulf Coast. Our mission team will help meet needs in Coastal churches and communities with an emphasis on spiritual rebuilding. Through our experience, we will be challenged and inspired to live life on mission, returning home excited about doing ministry that’s relevant in our own communities.
Encounter will be facilitating camps for hundreds of children in the Bay St. Louis community. Our hope is to build connections between the families we are serving and the local missionaries in order for further relationships to develop. We will also be serving in a local school in the community. Last year our presence there spearheaded more opportunities for the Gospel to take root in that school.
Lastly, we will be physically serving a community member in need. Past projects have included building a wheelchair ramp, working on siding, building a fence, and clearing brush – creating many opportunities to bless others by seeing our faith in action. This investment creates opportunities for us and the local staff to share the Gospel and the love of Christ.
