Rescue Leads To Worship // Ordinary Series (Ben Miller)

By | Mondays, Uncategorized | No Comments

As the people come out of Egypt, we have several epic moments of God’s power and are reminded of how well He keeps His promises. As Egypt disappears in a wave of water behind Israel, Israel’s gratitude comes pouring out in song. As we see His miracles in front of us, may our thankfulness explode into gratuitous acts of worship and praise. (Ex 14:21-15:5, Mark 14, I Cor 5:7, Ps 40:3, Is 43:15-19)

Moses is one of the great heroes of the faith, but in Exodus 3 and 4 his excuses are epic. “Please send anyone else” becomes the Moses motto. We realize that Moses’ insecurity reveals a deep distrust not in himself, but in God. Can we trust that God has the authority and power to work through our strengths, weaknesses, and experiences? (Ex 3:10-4:17, Heb 4:16, Eph 3:12, Luke 5, Rom 8:28, Isaiah 6)
